- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click on the Resolution Center link.
- Click on the “I think my account is compromised” link.
You’ll then be directed through several pages of questions that will help determine whether or not it was hacked by a third-party person/service instead of just misused by yourself or someone who had access to your device (like a family member).

Review your transaction history.
You should review your transaction history to see if there are any unauthorized transactions.
To do this:
- Log in to your PayPal account and click the History tab at the top of the page.
- Click the Download Report button under Transaction History in the left-hand column. Once you’ve clicked on it, a new window will open with two options: Transaction Checker and Download report (CSV).
- Select Transaction Checker and click Continue.
If you want to save your report as a PDF or CSV file so you can keep track of it later (instead of just using it online), select one of those options instead of continuing with Transaction Checker.”

Also, check any forwarding addresses set up for your primary email address. If none of these things seems familiar, then you should contact PayPal (see below) and ask how they handle alternate email addresses and forwarding addresses on their accounts.

Choose “This Site” from the drop-down list titled “Landing Page Type,” then click the Next Step button below it; if prompted with a pop-up asking if you want to enable pop-up blockers for this site, click Yes button so that you can continue with reporting fraud incident; next, choose “Merchants” from the second drop-down list titled “Category Category” option under Sections & Categories section; then select type of unauthorized transaction such as Fraudulent Chargeback/Payment Dispute from the third drop-down list titled “Issue Type” option under Transaction Issues section; next select appropriate reason code from the fourth drop-down list titled Reason Code section; finally click Confirm Action Button located on the bottom left corner of the page when ready to submit report.”
